How is Revolution used?
Just a spot once a month in front of the shoulder blades is all you need for protection against fleas, heartworm and other parasites. No pills. No sticky sprays. No more hassling with multiple products.
Revolution is quick drying, nongreasy and waterfast, with no unpleasant odor, so you can cuddle and play with your cat or dog as soon as Revolution dries.
Special note for dog owners:
Because Revolution is waterfast, dogs can still do all the things they love to do around water without sacrificing protection. Studies show it's effective even if you bathe your dog two hours after applying.
How does Revolution work?
Once applied, Revolution enters the bloodstream through the skin. Concentrations of
Revolution in the blood and intestinal tract prevent heartworm disease and treat gastrointestinal parasites, respectively.
Revolution selectively redistributes from blood to sebaceous glands, which are found below the skin's surface. Revolution's presence in the sebaceous glands and in the skin is the reservoir of drug that provides protection against fleas, flea eggs, ticks and mites.
What are the most common side effects?
Revolution is generally well-tolerated. In studies, less than 1% of cats and dogs experienced digestive upset. Approximately 1% of cats experienced temporary hair loss at the application site. Do not use in sick, weak, or underweight animals.
